What makes pediatric neurology at McLane Children's special?
Our pediatric neurology team is committed to providing the best care to your child, whether we see him or her briefly after an accident or in the event they become one of the patients we follow until adulthood. We work in collaboration with other pediatric specialists to develop the best diagnostic and treatment plan for your child.
Children treated in the neurology department at McLane Children's have access to our
Scott & White Sleep Institute and to research programs specializing in epilepsy and movement disorders. Depending on your child’s condition, you may be asked to participate in a clinical research project to design new treatments for pediatric neurological disorders.
How can I get my child in to see a pediatric neurologist?
Call 1-877-724-KIDS (5437) to set up an appointment. If your child is a
Scott & White Health Plan patient, you will be referred to a pediatric neurologist if he or she suspects your child has a condition affecting the nervous system.
Most health plans may require a referral prior to seeing a pediatric neurologist. Please contact your insurance company to learn about your child’s coverage.
