Well Child Visits

Bringing your child to a well child visit is an important way to keep your child’s health on track. At each milestone, we will answer your questions and deliver the consistent care your child deserves.

*The age your child should attend a well child checkup is based on important standards of care and quality measures from the American Academy of Pediatrics and the McLane Children's Scott & White providers.

Pediatric Travel Immunization Clinic

When you are getting ready for travel, there is a lot to do before your bags are packed. One important part of traveling, especially internationally, is getting your health records and immunizations up-to-date before you take off.

To prevent travel worries, schedule an appointment at the McLane Children's Travel Immunization Clinic by calling 254-724-KIDS (5437).

During your visit, our providers will prepare your child for travel by:

  • Assessing your child's health history and individual needs based on your itinerary
  • Informing you of possible diseases, conditions or threats in the area of travel
  • Discussing precautionary measures for diet or recreation
  • Administering and prescribing immunizations and medications

The clinic is located on the third floor of the Specialty Clinic in the Infectious Disease Clinic. Appointments are scheduled every Monday from 1 - 3:30 p.m. Appointments should be scheduled at least one month prior to travel, but urgent needs can be accommodated within as soon as 48 hours
